Unbridled Hope, unicorn painting - Art with Purpose

There are some paintings that stay with you long after the final brushstroke has been placed. Unbridled Hope is one of those pieces.
Created in support of the RDA Unicorn Centre, Unbridled Hope, my Unicorn painting has been a journey not only in art, but in purpose, hope and community. From the very beginning, I wanted this piece to feel magical, something that carried emotion, strength and light. The unicorn became a symbol of resilience, healing and possibility, which felt incredibly fitting for the cause it represents.
The Riding for the Disabled Association Unicorn Centre changes lives through the power of horses, supporting both children and adults with physical and learning disabilities. Following recent challenges faced by the Centre, I wanted to use my work in a way that could help support its recovery and raise awareness of the incredible work they do.
I’m proud to share that the original painting will now be auctioned from 14th June at noon until 28th June at 9pm,with 100% of the proceeds from the original artwork going directly to the Unicorn Centre.
One of my favourite elements of this piece is the gold leaf detailing. In certain light, especially at dusk or in softer lighting, the painting transforms as the gold catches the light and shimmers across the surface, adding another layer of depth and atmosphere. It’s something that feels difficult to fully capture in photographs, but incredibly special to experience in person.
Alongside the auction, professionally scanned fine art prints are now available, allowing more people to become part of the story while continuing to support the Centre through print sales going forward. The professional scanning process has captured the detail beautifully, and I will also be releasing a limited number of embellished editions featuring hand-finished details.
